Anne Amerman, Owner
Anne and her mother, Jerry Amerman (a long time horse lover and race horse owner and breeder) shared the vision of running an equine rehabilitation facility. Finding Peacefield Farm – a serene 63-acres nestled into rolling hills – turned that dream into a reality in 1994. Anne began riding and showing horses in 1966, entrenched in the Junior Hunter division and competing in Junior Medal classes for 11 years. She took a hiatus from riding while attending Auburn University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. She returned to the show ring in the Adult Amateur Hunter division upon completion of her educational goals and continues to focus on her horses and the challenge of putting in the perfect round. Annie Lambert, Farm Manager
In July, 2013, Annie Lambert joined the Peacefield team as farm manager. Annie spent a decade working at major Southern California racetracks in many capacities, including exercise rider and assistant trainer. She was also the owner/operator of a horse transport business. The following decade she worked as co-owner/operator of a layup farm and owned a USDA approved international import/export quarantine facility, both located in Temecula, California. During those years Annie had the privilege of caring for horses owned or trained by Richard Mandella, John Gosden, Jack VanBerg, Ron McAnally, Gary Jones, Henry Moreno, John and Betty Mabee, Neil Drysdale, Jack Klugman and many others. Annie grew up in the horse industry, she being the daughter of Willard D. Ommert, DVM, a renowned equine practitioner and surgeon and her mother, Pat, who managed the family’s Los Caballos Farm, a layup facility. She showed hunters and jumpers with Jimmy A. Williams as a youth and most recently enjoyed reined cow horses. Annie’s experience in a variety of equine disciplines coupled with her lifelong exposure to veterinary medicine uniquely qualifies her to oversee the physical and mental rehabilitation of race and performance horses at Peacefield Farm. Martin Cabrera, Assistant Farm Manager
Since coming to California in 1980, Martin Cabrera has worked for respected horsemen the likes of Rod Kaufman, John Gosden and Charlie Whittingham. He also worked at Allen Paulson’s Brookside Farm. A few champions that Martin cared for include Cigar, Sunday Silence, Centralinteligence and Bates Motel. Martin has worked at Peacefield Farm since 1997 and his horsemanship and racetrack expertise have been wonderful assets. He has handled the rehabilitation of Grade I Stakes winners Adoration, Awesome Gem, Balance, Pleasantly Perfect, The Tin Man, Siphonic and others. Martin’s conscientious and caring attitude makes him an invaluable member of the Peacefield team.
